It wasn’t always legal to raise a glass and cheers. In 1920, our statesmen took away our right to imbibe. Remaining thirsty, it wasn’t until congress acted in 1933 that Americans could once again enjoy a cocktail or a cold beer. In the spirit of our brethren coming to their senses, join us, order a round and give cheers to Amendment XXI.
Amendment XXI is a locally-owned neighborhood bar and grill that celebrates the end of the prohibition era. Our experienced mixologists specialize in crafting classic and modern cocktails or would be happy to pour you a glass of beer or wine. Our chef, Brett Andre LaDouceur, and his kitchen team have created an inspired menu that challenges even the finest gastropubs of Portland or Seattle.
Sound a little stuffy? Don’t worry, Amendment XXI is not all pomp and circumstance. Come with a group of your friends (or make some new ones while you are here) and experience our laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. Catch the game on one of our XX HD flatscreen TVs or play a game of pool or shuffleboard on one of our new tables. If you are not the wine or microbrew type, we have got you covered too. Amendment XXI has all the popular domestics on draft or in bottles and has a great PBR 16oz special.
